Founder and Chairman
Alyas Rafiq
Alyas Rafiq is the Founder and Chairman of Zoy Alyas Welfare Foundation, a Christian welfare foundation based in Lahore, Pakistan. His path to service was not one he planned. He once worked an ordinary job, attended church occasionally, and never imagined himself in ministry.
In 2013, a job transfer changed his daily route and he began stopping at a church along the way to pray. In time, he accompanied a pastor to different places, shared God’s Word, and grew in his desire to serve. He left his job to study at Bible college.
He has since preached and served in different cities across Pakistan and abroad. Along the way, his heart was drawn to children in brick kiln communities, among whom he began a Sunday school ministry and work toward free education. His wife shares his desire to serve, and together they have a daughter and a son.
He attributes this journey to God’s grace rather than to personal ability, and he prays for wisdom and opportunities to serve more children, young people and families.
