About Zoy Alyas Welfare Foundation
A Christian foundation in Lahore, Pakistan, putting faith into action for vulnerable children, families and underserved communities.
Who We Are
Faith That Inspires Action. Love That Makes a Difference.
Zoy Alyas Welfare Foundation (ZAWF) is a Christian welfare and humanitarian foundation. Our work begins with the love of Jesus Christ and the conviction that faith should be seen in what we do.
We are especially concerned for children whose families face poverty and limited access to education, including children in brick kiln communities. We want them to learn, to grow in confidence and character, and to look toward a better future.
Prayer and biblical teaching are central to who we are. Our humanitarian help is offered on the basis of need, never on the condition of religious participation. We are building this work step by step, and we would rather tell you plainly what is under way and what is still a plan.

We support opportunities for children and young people to learn, build confidence and grow.

We communicate truthfully, take responsibility for our decisions and avoid exaggeration.
Transparency
We explain activities and resources honestly, and separate what is confirmed from what is planned.

We consider how each project can benefit a community beyond a single moment of help.
Faithfulness
We remain committed to serving God and people through responsible, consistent action.

Our Founder
Alyas Rafiq
Founder and Chairman
Alyas Rafiq never expected a life in ministry. He worked an ordinary job and attended church occasionally.
His calling grew through years of prayer, study and service, and it eventually drew his heart toward children whom others had overlooked.
He has shared God’s Word in cities across Pakistan and abroad, and he gives the credit for all of it to God’s grace.
The Founder's Testimony
In His Own Words: A Calling He Never Planned
There was a time when I never imagined I would become a pastor or serve God in this way.
A Change of Route
A job transfer changed Alyas's daily journey, and his new route passed a church. He began stopping there to pray, on his way to work and again on his way home.
Learning Beside a Pastor
He went on to accompany a pastor to different places, sharing God's Word and learning what ministry really asks of a person.
Leaving His Job
After prayer and reflection, he left his job and entered Bible college, without knowing exactly what the future would bring.
Why It Shapes ZAWF
His years of preaching and serving drew his heart to children in brick kiln communities, and that concern is why this foundation exists.
I learned that a calling is more than an idea or a title. It is a responsibility that asks us to surrender our plans and offer ourselves to God.
Our Leadership
The Governing Body
