Donation & Financial Accountability Policy
These are the practices we are working toward, and this policy is being reviewed.
Responsible Stewardship
Every gift is a trust. Zoy Alyas Welfare Foundation aims to use resources carefully, honestly and for the purposes for which they are given.
Types of Contributions
Contributions may include financial gifts, goods, skills and prayer. Giving details are published on our donate page.
General and Designated Gifts
General gifts support the foundation’s mission where the need is greatest. Designated gifts are for a specific agreed purpose and should be recorded and used for it. If that purpose cannot be met, we would talk with the donor.
Processing and Records
Gifts should be recorded accurately, and receipts given where appropriate.
Project Budgets
For a proposed project, we are prepared to discuss an appropriate budget and implementation plan before funds are committed.
Transparency and Reporting
We are prepared to share progress updates, documented activities and reports about the use of designated resources, while respecting privacy and child safeguarding.
Financial Oversight
The governing body includes a Finance Secretary. Improving financial records and reporting is one of our near term priorities.
Tax Status
We make no claim that gifts are tax-deductible in any country. Please seek your own advice.
Refunds
Donor Privacy
Donor details should be kept private and used only as described in our Privacy Policy.
Questions
We welcome your questions through our contact page.
How to Give
Our donate page explains how to give. Please use only details sent from our official WhatsApp number, and contact info@zawf.org if anything looks different.
Questions You Can Ask Us
Before you give, you’re welcome to ask what a gift would be used for, who oversees it and how you’d hear back. A healthy organization should welcome these questions, and we want to as well.
