Planned
Medical and Social Welfare
An aim to explore community medical and social welfare initiatives in Pakistan with qualified partners.
Community Wellbeing
Compassionate Care for Vulnerable Families
Illness can place a heavy burden on a family with few resources, and cost or distance can make care harder to reach. Hardship rarely comes alone, so we care about the wider wellbeing of families too.
Our Aim
Working With Qualified People
We hope to explore medical outreach and better access to care by collaborating with appropriate healthcare professionals and institutions. Any outreach must be safe, lawful and properly led by qualified people.
This website does not offer medical advice. In an emergency or for any health concern, please consult a qualified medical professional.
Questions
Questions About Health Outreach
Does ZAWF run medical camps?
Dates, locations and partners of medical outreach will be shared here as they are documented.
Can healthcare professionals get involved?
Yes, we would welcome a conversation with qualified professionals and medical ministries. Please contact our team.
What Responsible Medical Welfare Requires
Medical outreach can do real good, and done carelessly it can do real harm. So before ZAWF offers anything in this area, we want the right people and safeguards in place.
Standards Any Outreach Should Meet
- Led by qualified, properly licensed healthcare professionals
- Lawful, with any approvals the activity requires
- Clear plans for referral and follow-up, not just a single visit
- Private and respectful care, with informed consent
- Safe handling of medicines and health records
Wider Social Welfare
Families don’t experience problems one at a time. Illness can lead to lost income, and lost income can take a child out of school. In time, we’d like to help families find support they can trust. For now, our practical help comes through food and humanitarian aid, where resources permit.
How Professionals Can Help
If you’re a doctor, nurse or medical ministry leader, we’d value your honest advice about what would be useful and safe. Please contact our team to start that conversation.
Can ZAWF help me with a medical problem?
We can’t provide medical advice or treatment through this website. Please see a qualified medical professional, and seek emergency help right away if you need it.
