Help Us Build a School in Pakistan
A long term goal: a safe, permanent place for children in underserved communities to learn and grow.
Imagine a child in a brick kiln community walking to a safe classroom with a teacher who knows her name. That’s what’s behind our dream to build a school in Pakistan. Today, learning often has to happen wherever we can find space. A permanent place would give children, teachers and families something they can rely on.
Let’s be clear from the start: this is a goal, not a finished project. We don’t yet have a building under construction, and we’ll tell you honestly how the plan develops at each stage.
Why a Permanent School Matters
The U.S. Department of Labor’s review of Pakistan lists transport, fees and inadequate facilities among the barriers children face. A nearby, affordable and safe school could speak directly to all three. It would also give teachers a stable place to work, and families more confidence that learning will continue next year.
What We Picture
- Safe, clean classrooms with room for children to learn
- Trained, safeguarded teachers
- Clean drinking water and proper toilets for boys and girls
- A space for families and the community to gather
The Stages Ahead
- Listen: confirm where the need is greatest with local families and leaders.
- Prepare: find suitable land, take qualified advice and seek the required approvals.
- Plan: agree a costed design and a realistic plan for running costs.
- Build: construct in phases as funds are received, with progress reports.
- Open and sustain: staff the school and keep it going for the long term.
Who Can Help
Churches and Foundations
A school is a large project, and it’s often best carried together. If your congregation or foundation is considering this, let’s begin with a conversation through our partnerships page.
Builders, Educators and Advisers
Architects, engineers, school leaders and lawyers can save a project from costly mistakes. If that’s you, your advice could be as valuable as a large gift.
Individual Donors
Every contribution counts. You can give through our donate page and tell us it’s for the school fund, and we’ll record it for that purpose. If you’d rather help a child right now, you can sponsor a child instead.
School Project Questions
Has land been bought for the school?
Not as far as we’ve announced here. When there’s a confirmed site, we’ll say so on this page.
How much will the school cost?
We won’t publish a figure until there’s a costed plan based on a real site and qualified advice.
What happens to my gift if the project changes?
If a designated purpose can’t be met, we’d contact you to talk about what to do, as our accountability policy explains.
Will the school only be for Christian children?
Our heart is to serve children in need. Admission details would be set during planning, and practical help never depends on religious participation.
